About Us We are a small hobby kennel located in New Brunswick, Canada. Owned by Alicia Wilson, she comes from extensive dog background. The name Gardine comes from her Grandfather's kennel back in the late 1960's early 70's when he bred miniature poodles as well as white german shephard dogs. The name Gardine is an abbreviation of Alicia's mother Nadine and her Uncle Gary's name, therefore getting the Gar-Dine, as her grandfather had it. Her mother also bred Standard Poodles under the same name for a brief stint in the early 90's, but due to some concerns with the breed she retired her girl and the kennel name over to Alicia. The new Gardine has been active since 2002, when Alicia recieved her foundation chinese crested, Silver Bluff Spotted Jett. Although the numbers are small, the belief here is quality over quantity. By researching thoroughly before each breeding, Gardine has been able to produce some very nice puppies, some doing very well in the show ring, others becoming the wonderful companions that they deserve to be, while still maintaining the high standard of a show dog. As far as health testing goes, currently we CERF test for hereditary eye problems, yearly. OFA cardio on hearts, to check for abnormalities, and OFA on Patellas for luxation. All of our dogs to date have passed normal on all of these things, save for a couple of breeder options on dogs not bred by us. A ten year health guaruntee is included on all dogs from our kennel. If at any time in the dogs life they show up with a hereditary defect, we will replace said dog. Of course few stipulations are required.
